ICASA has published a draft amendment to the Radio Frequency Spectrum Fees Regulations, 2010 and invites written representations by 16:00 on 29 June 2026. The draft adds a definition for “Blanket Licence” and revises the formulas and table entries for satellite hub ground stations and satellite terminal networks. The amendment is titled the Radio Frequency Spectrum Licence Fees Amendment Regulations, 2026 and is stated to come into force upon publication in the Government Gazette.
This appears to concern satellite spectrum fees and licence categories, and may be relevant to operators and stakeholders who submit comments on ICASA’s draft changes.
