1. Access to records
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000, gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information.
A person may request access to records held by a private body where the record is required for the exercise or protection of a right and the request complies with PAIA.
2. Information Officer
Requests for access to records must be directed to our Information Officer through our public contact details:

A request must contain enough detail to identify:
- the requester;
- the record requested;
- the right that the requester seeks to exercise or protect;
- why the record is required for that right; and
- the form of access requested.
Where a request is made on behalf of another person, proof of authority must be provided.
We may require proof of identity and payment of any prescribed fee.
4. Grounds for refusal
Access to records may be refused where PAIA permits or requires refusal.
This may include records protected by legal privilege, client confidentiality, privacy, commercial confidentiality, litigation privilege, professional duties, or another lawful ground of refusal.
5. POPIA requests
Requests relating to personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or objection requests, may also be made through our public contact details.
Such requests are subject to POPIA, PAIA, legal privilege, professional duties, and other applicable laws.
6. Information Regulator
The Information Regulator publishes PAIA guides, forms, and guidance on its website.
You may also contact the Information Regulator if you wish to lodge a PAIA or POPIA complaint.
