ICASA says it intends to amend the Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations, 2015 and invites written representations by 16H00 on 29 June 2026. The draft inserts new definitions and new regulations for Earth Stations in Motion and foreign satellite space segment registration, and adds a new form and annexure. It also proposes a fine of up to R5 000 000.00 for contraventions of certain provisions.
This may be relevant to satellite operators, ICASA licence holders and other communications stakeholders who work with Earth Stations in Motion or foreign satellite space segments.
