The notice publishes the draft National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan 2026 to 2035 for public comment under the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004. It says written comments must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication in the Government Gazette or the newspaper, whichever date occurs last. The draft describes the NBSAP as South Africa’s third NBSAP and says it is the primary instrument for implementing the Convention on Biological Diversity at a national level.

The applicant may respond in writing within twenty-eight working days from publication.

The notice says the application will be assessed against competition, consumer interests and HDP equity ownership, and that interested parties are invited to make written representations.

A notice says a claim for restitution of land rights has been submitted for Farm 484 in Stockenstrom, Eastern Cape, with Mr Henry Dickson named as the claimant. It also states that the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights will investigate the claim in due course.
