This Government Notice states that the Minister of Employment and Labour intends to introduce the Employment Services Amendment Bill, 2025, in the National Assembly shortly. It also publishes an explanatory summary of the Bill and says a copy is available on the Department of Employment and Labour and Parliamentary Monitoring Group websites.

The Minister of Employment and Labour publishes a public register under section 41 of the Employment Equity Act, 1998. The notice says the register contains designated employers that submitted employment equity reports in terms of section 21.

The Minister of Finance invites nominations for a 2026/27 database of candidates for vacancies on the boards of several listed institutions and on two committees of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. The notice sets out the fields of experience sought and the documents required with each nomination.

The South African Reserve Bank published a notice and order of forfeiture under Exchange Control Regulation 22B in respect of money held for Norra Trading (Pty) Limited. The notice says USD236 368.93 in an ABSA Bank account, together with any interest or other accrual, is forfeited to the State and will be deposited to the National Revenue Fund.

The Minister of Agriculture has made regulations under section 58 of the Plant Breeders’ Rights Act, 2018. The notice sets out a schedule of fees payable for matters such as inspections, applications, objections, examinations, annual fees, compulsory licence applications, and appeals.

The notice says Meerlust Administrators (Pty) Ltd has applied to the Wine Certification Authority to define Eerste River/Eersterivier (Ward) as a production area to produce Wine of Origin. It also describes the ward’s northern boundary and says the proposed boundaries can be viewed on the SAWIS website or by contacting Jackie Cupido.

The Competition Tribunal gives notice that it approved three mergers. The notice lists the case numbers, acquiring firms, target firms, dates of order and whether each approval was subject to conditions.

The notice says a provisional payment under section 57A of the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 is imposed in relation to anti-dumping duty for the duration of a new shipper review investigation by the International Trade Administration Commission. It lists several tariff subheadings for new pneumatic tyres from China produced or exported by Shandong Changlu Hong Tire Co. Ltd, with a provisional payment of 41,47%. A separate notice in the same extract says Part 1 of Schedule No. 2 is amended so that imports originating in or imported from China and manufactured by Shandong Changlu Hong Tire Co. Ltd are excluded from the payment of anti-dumping duties previously published in Notice No. R. 3735.

The notice amends rule 64D.04 under the Customs and Excise Act, 1964. It adds a new paragraph covering the removal under its own power of a locally manufactured road vehicle between premises on the same licence within 30km, and it revises the definitions used in the rule.

The notice amends Part 1 of Schedule No. 2 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964. It states that imports originating in or imported from China and manufactured by Shandong Changlu Hong Tire Co. Ltd are excluded from the payment of anti-dumping duties, as published in Notice No. R. 3735 of 28 July 2023.

This Government Notice says the Minister is consulting on an intention to amend the regulations relating to the procedure and criteria for determining an appropriate fine under section 24G of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998. It says the proposed amendments are intended to align the Regulations with the amended section 24G and sets out specific changes to regulations 4, 7, 8, 10, 13 and Annexure A.

This Government Notice amends Part 5A of Schedule No. 1 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, with effect from 3 June 2026. It substitutes Note 8 and replaces certain fuel levy tariff items and rates, including entries for petrol, illuminating kerosene, distillate fuel, specified aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents, and biodiesel.

The notice says that, in terms of section 48 of the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, Part 1 of Schedule No. 1 is amended as set out in the schedule. The schedule substitutes tariff lines for certain seed and wheat flour items, with rates shown in the table.
